How To Deal With The Sorrows Of The World

There are a LOT of problems in the world. A LOTTTTT!!! There are various approaches to dealing with them.

1] Ignore them. שלום עלי נפשי. I have a wife, children, health, a comfortable nest egg and also a host of my own personal problems. I can't worry about the world's problems. Let Trump solve them. He claims to be able to basically save the world. I will leave it up to him.

2] Philosophize about them. Why do bad things happen to good people? Why does my favorite baseball team sometimes blow a three run lead in the ninth inning? Why are some babies born deformed?

Such questions lead one to a dead end. We will NEVER fully understand this world or even partially understand it as long as our spiritual essence is enclothed with a physical form. מיר ווייסין גורנישט!!! [English - we don't know nothing!]. We can try to make SOME sense of this chaotic reality but, like after a broken relationship with a complicated girl, will never have true clarity.

3] Get cynical, angry, deny G-d, become pessimistic or fatalistic. HELLLLOOOOO shrink. Parnassa for Jews. [I have almost never met a non-Jewish shrink. Not that they don't exist. We just seem to have captured to field. Those and Rabbis. Very few non-Jewish rabbis].

4] DO SOMETHING TO REMEDY THE SITUATION!! Open up your wallet, your pay pal account, your credit card number. Give your time, your heart, your listening ear. Open up your home. Smile. Share kind words that give others strength. Think of SMALL ways you can make the day brighter for others, because

EVERYBODY is suffering.

We have the power to make a difference.
