More On The 10 Lost Souls

Regarding this post. When the husband explained in the interview why he decided to stop keeping mitzvos he offered two explanations:

1] How come there are so many people learning but only one Rav Elyashiv and only one Rav Ovadiah Yosef?

Hmmmmm. Is that a reason to stop keeping Shabbos and Taharas Hamishpacha?

2] He felt that his children weren't receiving a good moral education.

He may surprised when his now chiloni children spend the Israeli average of 5 or so hours surfing the net and on Facebook. It is not clear to me what fault he found with an education that teaches ואהבת לרעך כמוך, the value of chesed [and they don't just learn about it - NOBODY does more chesed than charedim], delaying immediate self gratification [a woman's menstrual cycle, waiting between meat and milk etc.], not living the existence of animal [not just eating but making a bracha first and many other halachos], the importance of family [having many children even though they are expensive and time consuming, Shabbos and Yom Tov together] etc. etc. etc. etc.

I am not aware of one value that religious people don't have that a secular person does.

And for these reasons he chucked the whole thing and made his 8 kids secular???????????????????

Wonder of wonders.

The explanation is partly in my post, partly in this post and there is more to say.

My only tefilla and bracha is that he should have the same fate as the famous anti-religious knesset member Shulamit Aloni whose child[ren] was [were] chozer bi-tshuva.
